Hyderabad, April 21 : The Chikkadpally police on Sunday arrested a labourer on the charges of murdering his friend due to previous enmity.
According to police, a man’s body was lying in a pool of blood near Achaiah Nagar of Chikkadpally on Friday night. On information police reached the spot and found that his throat has been slit with a sharp weapon.
The deceased was later identified as N Gangadhar, a labourer and native of Rayalaseema. He migrated to Hyderabad about four years ago in search of livelihood. Further investigations revealed that on April 19 Gangadhar met a co-labourer Nagaraju, who hailed from Kallur village of Kurnool. They consumed liquor near Nala at Fever Hospital and after Gangadhar became semi-conscious, Nagaraju took him to a pavement of the road near Padma Colony, Achaiah Nagar and cut his throat with shaving razor blade at about 8:30 PM. He then fled from the scene of offence.
On a tip off, the Chikkadpally police arrested Nagaraju and during interrogation, police claimed, that he confessed of committing the murder due to previous enmity with Gangadhar. INN
