Dowry harassment drives woman to suicide

Hyderabad, Oct 20 : A 24-year-old woman committed suicide allegedly due to the harassment by her husband for more dowry.

According to the Alwal police, the deceased, G Padma, died on the spot after setting herself ablaze at her residence in Prashant Nagar. She was married to Bhishapati about three years ago. However, he was allegedly harassing her while demanding that she get more dowry from her parents. Unable to bear the harassment she took the extreme on Saturday night.
