TPJAC plans peace rallies in Telangana from Aug 16

Hyderabad, August 13 : Telangana Political Joint Action Committee chairman Prof M Kodandaram on Tuesday announced that the JAC would organise peace rallies across Telangana region from August 16 demanding hastening of process for formation of Telangana State.

Talking to reporters here, Kondandaram said that the peace rallies would be followed by relay hunger strike at Indira Park from August 17. A massive peace rally will also be organised in Hyderabad, he said. A memorandum will also be served to Chief Secretary Dr PK Mohanty requesting him to speed up the process of Telangana formation.

Kondandaram described the indefinite strike launched by the Andhra Pradesh Non-Gazetted Officers Association and other Seemandhra employees was unconstitutional and unethical. He also condemned the wives of Seemandhra ministers and legislators for meeting Governor ESL Narasimhan and accused them of trying to obstruct the formation of Telangana. INN
