Five persons commit suicide

Hyderabad, May 9 (INN): In separate cases, five persons committed suicide due to different reasons.

In Kukatpally police limits, 22-year-old G Praveen committed suicide by hanging to the ceiling at his residence in Kukatpally on Friday night. He left a suicide note stating that no one was responsible for his suicide.

In another case, financial problems drove T Hari Krishna, 37, to suicide. He took the extreme step by hanging to the ceiling at his residence in Adarsh Nagar on Friday night, according to Chandanagar police.

In three cases, victims resorted to the extreme step allegedly due to ill-health. They resorted to the extreme step by hanging to the ceiling. The deceased have been identified as K Siddhulu (34) of Chiluka Nagar near Uppal, N Rameshwari (36) of Laxmiguda near Mailardevpally and S Srikanth (23) of Hayathnagar, according to police.

Tea vendor’s body retrieved from Musi River

The Langar Houz police have retrieved the body of 35-year-old man from the Musi River near Pillar No 115.

The deceased was later identified as K Ranga Swamy, a tea vendor and resident of Alluri Sitaramaraju Nagar. Enquiries by the police revealed that Swamy left his home on May 6 and did not return. His body was found in Musi River on Friday evening. Police suspect that Swamy might have fell into the river in inebriated condition.

Woman succumbs to electrical burn injuries

A 50-year-old woman succumbed to the electrical burn injuries which she sustained after getting electrocuted at an agricultural field near her residence in Yethbarpally.

The deceased, M Eshwaramma, got electrocuted after she stepped on a live electrical wire in an agricultural field on May 4. She was admitted to the Osmania General Hospital where she died on Friday night, according to Moinabad police.

One killed in road accident

A 32-year-old man died of injuries which he sustained after he was hit and run by unidentified vehicle.

According to Chaitanyapuri police, the deceased, R Amarnath of Veearappaguda near Uppal, met with the accident on May 5 near Nagole crossroads. He was undergoing treatment at the Osmania General Hospital where he died on Friday night. (INN)
