Woman found murdered at home

Hyderabad, April 19 (INN): A 48-year-old woman was found murdered at her residence in Chandrayangutta police limits.

The deceased, Zakia Begum, was found dead at her residence in Badlaguda near Hashimabad with a head injury, suspected to have been caused with a blunt object. Zakia used to work in MM Function Hall in Bandlaguda along with her husband Mohammed Shareef. They were natives of Karnataka state.

The Chandrayangutta police began investigation after registering a case of murder under Section 302 IPC. Police is suspecting the involvement of her husband Shareef behind the murder. Further investigations are on.

Husband strangulates wife to death

A 20-year-old woman was strangulated to death allegedly by her husband in Jeedimetla police limits.

The victim, Ghousia Begum, was strangulated allegedly by her husband Md Hussain (25) at their residence in Prakasam Pantulu Nagar on Saturday night. He used the telephone wire to strangulate Ghousia Begum, who was seven-month pregnant. According to Jeedimetla police, Hussain suspected Ghousia’s fidelity and went absconding after committing the crime.

A murder case has been registered against Hussain and further investigations are on.

Three of a family killed in gas cylinder blast

Three members of a family succumbed to the injuries which they had sustained in a gas cylinder explosion.

According to Patencheru police, the victims, Babu Rao (37), his wife P Madhavi (29) and son Lakshman (9) and two others were injured in the explosion that occurred due to leakage of cooking gas at their residence in Chitkul on April 16. They were admitted to Gandhi Hospital for treatment where Madhavi died last night while Babu Rao and Lakshman succumbed to injuries on Sunday morning.

5-year-old boy dies due to wall collapse

A five-year-old boy succumbed to the injuries which he had sustained in a wall collapse incident.

According to Kanchanbagh police, the victim, Mahek Abdul Rahman, sustained severe injuries when a portion of wall fell on him while he was playing near his house in Hafez Baba Nagar on April 10. He was admitted to the Apollo DRDO at Kanchanbagh where he died on Sunday.

A case of negligence under Section 304 A has been registered against the house owner.

One killed in road accident

A 17-year-old boy was killed while his friend got injured when the motorcycle they were riding on was hit and run by unidentified vehicle.

According to Ghatkesar police, the accident occurred near HPCL on Saturday morning. The victim, P Dinesh Reddy, and his friend, Jagadish, sustained injuries and were immediately rushed to the Gandhi Hospital. Dinesh succumbed to the injuries on Saturday night.

Two women among four commits suicide

Four persons, including two women, committed suicide due to different reasons.

In Bowenpally police limits, 27-year-old J Sudha Rani committed suicide by hanging to the ceiling at her residence in New Bowenpally in the early hours of Sunday. The reasons that drove her to suicide are yet to be ascertained.

In another case, a 44-year-old man committed suicide by jumping in front of a running train on the tracks between Alwal and Bollaram Bazar railway stations on Saturday. The Secunderabad Railway Police later identified the deceased as AR Dasrath, a house keeper and resident of Bollaram in Secunderabad. Financial problems are suspected to have driven Dasrath to suicide.

In a separate case, P Govind, 28, committed suicide by hanging to the ceiling at his residence in Ram Nagar Colony on Saturday night. According to Saroornagar police, Govind, a labourer, resorted to the extreme step in an inebriated condition while he was alone at his home.

In a different case, C Saritha, 27, succumbed to the burns injuries which she had sustained after setting herself ablaze. She resorted to the extreme step on April 13 after having an argument with her husband Ram over some financial matter. She was admitted to the Osmania General Hospital where she died on Saturday night.

Dowry harassment drives woman to suicide

Alleged harassment for dowry drove a 21-year-old housewife to suicide.

The deceased, Kanzeez Fatima, took the extreme step by setting herself ablaze at her residence in Allapur near Borabanda on Saturday morning. She was immediately rushed to the Osmania General Hospital where she succumbed to burns injuries late on Saturday night.

Preliminary investigation by the Sanathnagar police revealed that that Kaneez was married to one Shaik Ibrahim on October 6, 2013. Three tolas of gold, Rs 1 lakh net cash, one motorcycle and other household articles were given at the time of marriage. However, she was allegedly being harassed for more dowry by her husband and in-laws for the last few months which consequently drove her to suicide.

Police began investigations into the case after registering a case under Section 304 B.

Man dies after falling from height

A 32-year-old man died after falling down from the roof top of his building in inebriated condition.

According to Amberpet police, the deceased, D Babu Kumar, fell down from his house in Golnaka on Saturday night. He was immediately rushed to Osmania General Hospital where he was declared brought dead. (INN)
