The IET announces the IET Advantage Job Fair 2013

Hyderabad, August 12: The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) today announced the dates for The IET Advantage Job Fair 2013. The two day event, open for engineering students (students, fresh graduates and young professionals with 1- 6 years’ experience) from across India will be held on September 21 and 22, at KCG College of Technology,Chennai.

Full time engineering students/ graduate engineers of AICTE approved engineering streams from across the nation are eligible to apply for the Job Fair. The applicants will be selected through a three-step robust filtering process that includes an online shortlisting process, an aptitude test and a technical evaluation round. The aptitude test will be held across 14 colleges in India. Shortlisted candidates from the aptitude test will be assessed for their technical skills and knowledge of their engineering stream through a Technical Talent Test. The IET has set up this robust filtering process to ensure that only high calibre; qualified candidates meet the employers on September 22.

The unique event does not collect any fees either from students / candidates or employers at any stage, to participate the IET Advantage Job Fair. This includes no charges to students/candidates to take part in the aptitude and technical evaluation test.

This one-of-its-kind event will have around 15 companies from relevant engineering disciplines spanning IT, manufacturing, telecom, design, electrical, computer sciences etc. The Job Fair will also include an internship section for employers to hire candidates for internships in their organisation.

Through our strong pre-screening process we aim to ensure that industry gets to interact with the right set of talent”.

Eligible engineering students from across India can apply for this prestigious Job Fair. A dedicated website has been developed at http://www.theiet.in/advantage-jobfair.html that gives details about the eligibility, shortlisting process and other relevant details. Online applications close on August 22, and the aptitude tests will be held between August 31, and September 7.
