T-MPs resignations under examination: Meira Kumar

Hyderabad, Aug 10: Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar on Saturday said that the resignations submitted by MPs from Andhra and Rayalaseema regions were under examination.

Talking to reporters here, Meira Kumar said that the resignations were under examination of her Secretariat. Stating that a decision on resignations would be taken in due course, she said that there was no timeframe for the same. “I would not be able to tell you that. There is no rule or convention by which I am bound so far as timeframe is concerned,” she said.

The Lok Sabha Speaker said that was in receipt of resignations submitted by seven to eight MPs.
