Hyderabad, July 9 : Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy has directed the Chief Secretary Dr P.K.Mohanty and other Senior Officials to set up a separate unit for emergency rescue operations with the Fire and Emergency Department to emergencies by imparting a special training and providing modern equipment.
The Chief Minister reviewed the ongoing rescue and relief measures in the City Light Hotel Building collapse incident, with the Chief Secretary Dr.P.K.Mohanty and other senior officials in Secretariat, this afternoon.
The Chief Minister asked the officials to take action to treat the permanently disabled in the incident on par with the deceased persons for compensation etc. The Chief Minister announced Rs 25,000 each to the seriously injured. The government will bear all medical expenses for their treatment. Chief Minister also asked the officials to provide the best medical care to the injured.
The Chief Secretary informed that the death toll is 13 while 12 persons are in hospital and some more are under the debris. The CISF, Municipal, Police, Fire and Emergency department staff and officials are in the rescue operations. Cases were registered against the owner of the building in Mahankali Police Station and enquiry is going on, the Chief Secretary added.
Uttarakhand Flood Victims:
The Chief Minister also reviewed the status of Uttarakhand Flood Victims with the officials and asked them to make district-wise detailed verification about missing persons. The officials informed that 81 persons are still reported missing and the same informed to the Uttarakhand Government. INN
