GHMC imposes fine on eateries in West Zone

Hyderabad, June 24 : The officials of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation on Monday inspected hotels and tiffin centres and imposed penalties for insanitary conditions of kitchen and using of plastic for packing of food stuffs in which are below 40 microns.

A fine of Rs 10,000 each was imposed on Bavarchi Hotel at Deepti Sai Nagar; Kakatiya Kababs at Miyapur; Times Tiffins; Hyderabad Restaurants at Madhapur and Rs 5,000 fine on Akshaya Tiffins at Miyapur. The managements have been instructed to rectify the defects found during inspection within one week otherwise action will be initiated for closing of their basin less.

The GHMC has requested the eating establishments to keep up the sanitary conditions up to the mark keeping in view the preventive measures for control of communicable disease during the monsoon period. INN
