Heavy rains lead to traffic jams

Hyderabad, May 29 : A spell of heavy rain brought much sought respite from the heat for the residents of twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad on Wednesday. However, the water logging at several places brought the vehicular traffic to a standstill on several busy roads.

The spell of heavy rain lasted for about 20-30 minutes in the twin cities. However, the water logging created traffic jams across the city. Traffic jams were reported from Begumpet, Raj Bhavan Road, Ameerpet, Punjagutta, Khairatabad, Lakdi-ka-Pul and other areas. Consequently, the movement of traffic was disturbed on all connection roads.
