Hyderabad, June 7 : Agriculture Minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy reviewed the functioning of Animal Husbandry Department here on Saturday.
Pocharam interacted with the senior officials on the activities of their departments and sought their suggestions to improve their performance. Speaking to media persons later, Pocharam assured that the Telangana Government would take all measures for the welfare of farmers in the State. He expressed regret over the suicide of two farmers over the issue of loan waiver scheme. He appealed to the farmers to observe some restrain and assured that the government would implement all its promises.
Pocharam said that arrangements were being made for the proper supply of seeds and fertilizers to the farmers for the Khariff season.
Meanwhile, Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao held a review meeting with the senior officials and enquired about the status of Pranahita-Chevella, Nizamsagar and Ali Sagar projects. He asked the officials to prepare a detailed report on the viability of providing irrigation facilities in all districts of Telangana State. INN
