Seemandhra Union Ministers meet PM

New Delhi, Nov 11 : Union Ministers from Seemandhra region called up Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh here on Monday.

Briefing the media persons later, Union Minister D Purandeswari said that the Prime Minister has been apprised about the situation that could arise due to bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh and justice has been sought for the Seemandhra region. Several issues including status of Hyderabad, loss of opportunities in education and employment, sharing of resources like water and electricity and other concerns of the people of Seemandhra region were conveyed to the Prime Minister.

The Prime Minister, who heard the Union Ministers’ plea with patience, has reportedly assured that justice would be done to all the regions. Purandeswari said that the issue of resignation of Seemandhra Union Ministers did not come up for discussion during their meeting with the Prime Minister.

Besides Purandeswari, Union Ministers MM Pallam Raju, K Chiranjeevi, Kotla Suryaprakash Reddy and JD Seelam were among those who met the Prime Ministers. INN
