Karimnagar, Nov 9 : Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao on Saturday warned the Centre of “another war” if it levies conditions on formation of Telangana State.
Speaking to media persons at the residence of Karimnagar MLA Kamalakar, the TRS chief alleged that the Centre was putting new conditions to carve out Telangana by bifurcating Andhra Pradesh. He said that the law and order was a State subject and therefore, this responsibility should be assigned to the Telangana State after its formation. He said any interference from the Centre on this issue would not be accepted.
KCR said that the people of the region have been maintaining a strategic silence while hoping that Telangana State would be reality soon. However, he said that silence would be broken and “another war” would be fought if there was any fresh conspiracy to stop the formation of Telangana State. Ridiculing the statement of the Chief Minister in Delhi saying that he was not against the sentiments of Telangana people, he said that Kiran Kumar Reddy had a habit of repeating old statements. He said that the Chief Minister was singing the old tune when the Centre began the process of State’s bifurcation.
The TRS chief also alleged that the Seemandhra leaders were trying to plunder the resources, jobs and other opportunities of Telangana people. Citing an instance, he said that the Manuguru power plant has been shifted from Telangana region to Vijayawada at the instance of Seemandhra leaders.
KCR announced that the statehood movement would not stop until the formation of a perfect Telangana State. INN
