City Police foil TRS rally

Hyderabad, August 26 : TRS floor leader Etela Rajender and several other TRS leaders and activists were taken into custody when they tried to take out a rally from Nizam College at Basheerbagh here on Monday.

The peace rally titled “Hyderabad Hamara” was planned by the students’ wing of TRS. The activists wanted to take out the rally from Nizam College to Dr Ambedkar’s Statue at Tank Bund. However, the police took the TRS workers into custody at Nizam College stating that prior permission was not taken for conducting the rally.

The TRS leaders condemned the arrests and alleged that the police was acting at the behest of Seemandhra leaders. INN
