Minorities Commission submits report to Governor

Hyderabad, July 29 : The members of Andhra Pradesh State Minorities Commission led by chairman Abid Rasool Khan on Monday submitted a report to Governor ESL Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan on the Commission’s activities in the last two months.

The Chairman and members – Syed Maqbool Hussain Basha, Dr Hassan Qurratulain, Prabha Elizabeth Joseph, Sardar Sarjit Singh and Goutham Jain thanked the Governor for appointing them and re-constitution the commission. They explained to him about the steps taken in strengthening the activities of the Commission after taking charge as the Commission was not in existence for the last five years.

The Governor has reportedly directed the Chairman and members to submit quarterly reports on the activities of the Commission and how they were taking steps to protect the interest of the minorities and redress the grievances of the Minorities community. INN
