Hyderabad, July 28 : Despite the Centre giving clear indications that it was in favour of giving statehood to Telangana region, the Telangana Political Joint Action Committee announced that it would go ahead with its Maha Dharna in the city on August 1st.
Talking to reporters after meeting Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao at his residence, TPJAC chairman Prof M Kodandaram on Sunday said that the people would accept nothing less than a Telangana State with 10 districts with Hyderabad as its capital. He warned the Centre of making any changes in the boundaries of Telangana.
Kodandaram said that the TPJAC would continue its agitation till the formation of Telangana State and appealed to the people to participate in large numbers in the proposed Maha Dharna on August 1st. INN
