Mopidevi’s bail plea hearing adjourned to July 31

Hyderabad, July 22 : The CBI Special Court on Monday adjourned the hearing ont he bail petition of former minister Mopidevi Venkataramana to July 31.

Mopidevi was arrested by the CBI on May 24 last year for his alleged role in the Vanpic segment of disproportionate assets case of YSR Congress president Jagan Mohan Reddy. He is lodged in Chanchalguda Central Jail since his arrest although he was referred to Osmania General Hospital and Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences on more than one occasion after he complained of ill-health.

The former Excise Minister is now citing ill-health as one of the reasons for seeking bail. The next hearing on his bail petition will be on July 31. INN
