New Delhi, June 26 : Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy met the victims of Uttarakhand at AP Bhavan in New Delhi on Wednesday at their rooms where the flood victims are accommodated.
While interaction with them, Kuppa Srinivasa Rao (50) and his daughter K Sudharani (6) years have explained about the tragedy and how he missed his wife Hemalatha in the floods at Rambada and also requested the chief Minister to find her. The relatives and the companion of the Chardham yatra have reported to the Chief Minister to find out the missing persons of the yatra. He consoled Srinivasa Rao and asked him to stay back at AP Bhavan till his health improved and assured government will assist him in finding his missing wife and he will be sent back to his native place by air.
The flood victims are given proper medical care, clothing and accommodation. Kiran Kumar Reddy assured the complainants of Uttarakhand flood victims about the missing pilgrims, the rescue operations will be continued till the missing are found. He also said that the officers deputed for rescue and rehabilitation operations are executing their entrusted duties in coordination with military officials and Uttarakhand administration.
Chief Minister also informed the government has arranged a special air craft from Dehradun to move 168 pilgrims to Hyderabad and to their respective places. In the afternoon the Chief Secretary, P K Mohanthy also met the pilgrim victims and consoled them. INN
