Muslim leaders pay tributes to Nizam

Hyderabad, Sept 17 : Several Muslim leaders on Tuesday paid rich tributes to VIIth Nizam Mir Osman Ali Khan on the occasion of anniversary of Hyderabad State’s merger with Indian Union.

The leaders who paid floral tributes to VIIth Nizam at his grave at Masjid-e-Judi at King Koti include Greater Hyderabad TDP Minority President Shahbaz Ahmed Khan, Muslim Leauge President Abdul Sattar Mujahid, Telangana Advocate Forum President Waheed Ahmed and representatives of other organisations. The leaders said that there was nothing to celebrate as the Hyderabad’s merger on 17th September, 1948 was marked by killing of hundreds of Muslims. They condemned the celebrations as Hyderabad Liberation Day or Merger Day. INN
