Two new trains from Kurnool city railway station flagged off

Hyderabad, June 25 : Minister of State for Railways Kotla Jaya Surya Prakash Reddy flagged off two new trains Viz., Train. No. 17224 Kurnool City-Secunderabad Intercity Express (Daily) & Train No. 77696 Kurnool City-Nandyal DEMU Passenger (five days in week) which were announced in the Rail Budget-2013 at a function held at Kurnool City Railway Station today.

Train No. 17224 / 17223 Kurnool City-Secunderabad-Kurnool City Intercity Express (Daily) will provide a convenient morning train service to the commuters from Kurnool City and enroute places to come to the Twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad and get back on the same day. This train will have 20 coaches viz., 16 General Second Class, One AC Chair Car and Two Second Class Luggage Cum Brake van Coaches.

Train No. 77696 / 77695 Kurnool City – Nandyal – Kurnool City DEMU Passenger (five days in a week) with 8 swanky, modern coaches, will provide a comfortable morning train service enabling the people from Nandyal and enroute to come to Kurnool City, the educational and business centre, and get back on the same day.

Minister for Minor Irrigation, APIDC, Lift Irrigation, WALAMTARI, Ground Water Development, Govt. of AP T G Venkatesh, Member of Parliament S P Y Reddy and Member of Legislative Assembly Silpa Mohan Reddy also spoke on the occasion.
