CPI objects VSP getting Byaram mines

Ananthapuram, April 18 : The Communist Party of India has objected to the State government decision to handover Byaram mines to Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP).

When regional dispairiteis are growing and there is an agitiaon on the issue it is not fair to give mining rights to people or institutions of other regions, CPI State Secretary K Narayana said. He suggested that the mining can be given only after VSP starts a unit in this region.

Byaram minies are spread across Khammam, Warangal and Karimnagar districts.

CPI along with TRS has been demanding separate Telangana. INN
