Hyderabad, April 16 : Peddapalli MP Dr G Vivek on Tuesday announced that the Congress MPs from the Telangana region would wait for the Centre’s decision on the statehood till the end of ensuing Parliament session.
Talking to reporters at his residence, Vivek warned that the Telangana Congress MPs would be free to decide their future course of action if the Congress High Command fails to take a favourable decision on Telangana formation by the end of Parliament session.
Vivek also alleged that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy stalled the decision on Telangana although Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde was ready to resolve it within one month. He also accused Santosh Reddy, Chief Minister’s brother, of heading the Andhra lobby to block the formation of Telangana. He said that the Congress has promised formation of Telangana in its manifesto and hoped that the party would honour its promise. INN
