TV artistes on indefinite fast

Hyderabad, April 11 : TV artistes began an indefinite fast at the Dharna Chowk pressing for their demands.

They were on dharna for the past few days demanding ban on dubbing serials and many political parties have expressed solidarity with them but their demand was not conceded. They have intensified their agitation by launching indefinite fast.

The contention of the Telugu TV artistes is that dubbing serials are eating up into their share of employment and the TV channels should encourage local talent. They are seeking the government intervention to direct the channels to concede to their demand. INN
