Hyderabad, April 11 : Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi on Thursday assured a delegation of NRIs that he would make representations to the authorities concerned over the Nitaqat policy of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia which is feared to displace thousands of Indian workers from their jobs.
A delegation of NRIs led by Dr Mohammad Niyaz Ahmed Khan on Thursday called up the MIM president at Darulsalaam seeking his help to bail out the NRIs and Indian workers employed with the Saudi-based companies. Of nearly 12 lakh Indians who are likely to be affected due to Nitaqat policy, over one lakh hail from Andhra Pradesh.
The MIM president assured the delegation that besides speaking to the officials in the Ministry of External Affairs, he would also approach the Saudi authorities to ensure that the Indians does not suffer due to new Saudi policy. INN
