Textile traders observe bandh

Hyderabad, March 9 : Textile traders on Saturday observed bandh across the state in protest against the high rate of VAT on textile goods.

The traders took out a rally in Rajahmundy and observed bandh. Hundreds of textile traders took out a procession and raised slogans against the government. The wholesale merchants joined the protest and downed shutters.

The bandh was observed in a large scale at Vijayawada as well. Traders took out big rally and said that they will continue their struggle till the government concedes to their demands.

As the textile shops were closed, consumers were put to inconvenience. INN
