Met Dept warns of heavy rainfall in coastal Andhra, Telangana

Hyderabad, July 15 : The India Meteorological Department on Monday issued a heavy rainfall warning for several districts of coastal Andhra and Telangana regions.

The Met Department said that heavy rainfall would occur at isolated places in the districts of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East and West Godavari and Krishna of Coastal Andhra Pradesh and in the districts of Adilabad, Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Khammam, Warangal and Nalgonda of Telangana during next 48 hours.

According to the Met Department, a low pressure has formed over North-West Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas Gangetic West Bengal and North Odishia. Associated Upper Air Cyclonic Circulation extends up to 7.6 KM above sea-level tilting South Westwards with height. It said that yesterday’s trough on sea-level chart from Odisha to South Tamil Nadu across coastal Andhra Pradesh persist. INN
