Adilabad, February 16: Over a month after his arrest in the alleged hate speech case, MIM leader Akbaruddin Owaisi was released from Adilabad District Jail here on Saturday.
Although the Nizamabad and Adilabad courts have granted bail to the MIM leader in different alleged hate speech cases on Friday, he was released today after the completion of formalities. Several MIM leaders and workers gathered outside the jail to receive their leader.
It may be mentioned that Akbar Owaisi was arrested on January 8 by the Nirmal police in the alleged hate speech registered against him. Later, the Nizamabad police too took him into custody to investigate into another alleged hate speech case. He was also produced before the Sangareddy Court in a case of 2005 of alleged assault of the then District Collector.
However, Akbar Owaisi got bail from Sangareddy, Nizamabad and Adilabad courts which ensured his released on Saturday.
