Sangareddy, January 28: MIM leader Akbaruddin Owaisi on Monday was produced before the Sangareddy Court in connection with the case of 2005 of alleged assault on the then Medak District Collector AK Singhal.
Earlier, Akbaruddin Owaisi was shifted from Adilabad District Jail to Sangareddy under tight security. Elaborate security arrangments were also made around the court premises.
It was on January 17 when the Patencheru Police produced Akbaruddin Owaisi before the Sangareddy Court and was remanded to 14 days judicial custody. He was sent back to jail in Nirmal of Adilabad disterict where he was already remanded in a case of alleged hate speech.
Meanwhile, MIM president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi along with four MIM MLAs also appeared before the court. Asaduddin Owaisi, who surrendered before the court on January 21, was granted bail in the case on January 24.
