Hyderabad, July 21 : Union Minister for Minority Affairs Najma Heptullah has reportedly assured to order CBI probe into the different irregularities in the Wakf affairs in the State.
Najma has asked State Minorities Commission Chairman Abid Rasool Khan to submit a report on the affairs of the Wakf Board in order to order a CBI probe. It may be mentioned that Khan called on the Union Minister and has briefed here on the activities of the Commission and its findings so also all the surveys conducted by the Commission.
The Chairman has explained in detail about the steps that the Commission has taken to protect Waqf properties so also the steps being taken up by the Govt. of Telangana for the same. He explained to the minister that the Commission has compiled a detailed report on illegal sales, illegal transfers, illegal leases so also from misdoings and misappropriations and grabbing of Waqf properties.
The Chairman requested the Minister to order an C.B.I enquiry into the Waqf affairs based on the report of the Commission and also other enquiries conducted by the various departments. INN
