Hyderabad, July 18 : Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao in a meeting with USA delegation said that the Government of Telangana will come up with a Zero Corruption Industrial Policy shortly and will propagate the same all over the world.
A delegation from USA, led by Arun M. Kumar, Director General of the U.S. and Foreign Commercial Service and Assistant Secretary for Global Markets U.S. Department of Commerce met the Chief Minister in the State Secretariat here on Friday.
The other members of the delegation were John M. McCaslin, Minister Counselor for Commercial Affairs U.S. Commercial Service; Michael Mullins, Consul General, U.S. Consulate General; Vinay Singh, Senior Advisor to the Asst. Secy. for Global Markets; Satya Prabha, Commercial Specialist and Office Director, U.S. Commercial Service, Dept. of Commerce U.S. Consulate General, Hyderabad.
The Chief Minister said that about three lakh acres of land for Industrial use would be made available to prospective Industrialists in Telangana and an excellent infrastructure facility will be created on these lands. He said that Telangana will be the best state for investment; a chasing cell will be created in his office for expediting clearances to the proposals of industrialists and clearing it within two weeks. He said that Hyderabad, which is seismologically safe zone, is the best place for investment.
The U.S. delegation mentioned that they were interested in aviation and defense areas. When Micheal Mullins, Consul General, mentioned that shortly they would be constructing their office in Hyderabad, the Chief Minister said that they can add beauty to Hyderabad by constructing an excellent building which should be number one among Consulate offices in India and necessary permissions will be accorded immediately.
The Chief Minister and the delegation discussed the possibilities of organizing a joint Indo American summit some time later this year. The Chief Minister also requested the delegation to include Hyderabad in the schedule of U.S. President Obama as and when he visits India.
Information Technology and Panchayat Raj Minister KT Rama Rao, Chief Secretary Dr Rajiv Sharma, Principal Secretary S Narsing Rao and Advisor to Govt. K.V. Ramana Chary were also present in the meeting. INN
