Hyderabad, Feb 18 : Hundreds of pro-Telangana activists stormed the streets of Hyderabad to celebrate the passing of Telangana Bill in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday.
Hundreds of TRS workers, who gathered at the Telangana Bhavan since morning, started celebrations immediately after the Lok Sabha passed a Bill through voice vote. Although there was some confusion after the live telecast of Lok Sabha was stopped after 3 PM. But the crowd closely followed the news channels and began celebrations soon after they flashed that the Bill has been passed. Sweets were distributes and the TRS workers shouted slogans praising their party president K Chandrasekhar Rao. They claimed that Telangana is now a reality due to the continuous struggle of KCR.
Celebrations were also held at the offices of Bharatiya Janata Party, Telangana Political Joint Action Committee and other pro-Telangana groups. Several pro-Telangana activists came on streets by holding Telangana and pink flags shouting slogans of victory in a long-drawn battle of nearly six decades. INN
