Elder brother beats younger sibling to death

Hyderabad, Dec 5 : A 26-year-old year old man was allegedly killed by his brother in the LB Nagar police limits.

The deceased, A Ravi, a labourer in Kothapet fruit market, used to stay along with his family comprising his parents, brothers and sisters at their residence in Sainagar Colony of Nagole. On Wednesday, Ravi came home in an inebriated condition and created nuisance in his house. He damaged some house hold articles and beat up the family members.

Later in the night when his elder brother Venkat returned home, the family members complained about this. Venkat took a wooden stick and beat up Ravi leading to his death. He then dumped the body in an open plot and tried to mislead the police.

However, the police interrogated the family members and found that Venkat murdered his brother due to his continuous harassment, Inspector L B Nagar E Srinivas Reddy said.

Woman dies due to doctors negligence

Hyderabad, Dec 5 : A 31-year-old pregnant woman died allegedly due to the negligence of doctors of a private hospital.

According to Langar Houz police, the deceased, Firdous Begum, a resident of Nadeem Colony in Tolichowki, was admitted to a private hospital when got labour pains on November 30. The duty doctors attending her informed her that the child already died in the womb.

On December 2, Firdaus was referred to another private hospital as her health deteriorated. On Wednesday, she was referred to the Osmania General Hospital where Firdaus died a few hours after admission.

Based on a complaint lodged by the relatives, police registered a case of negligence under section 304 (A) against the doctors of a private hospital. Further investigations are on.

Four persons commit suicide

Hyderabad, Dec 5 : In separate cases, four persons including a girl committed suicide for different reasons.

In Medipally police limits, financial problems drove a 37-year-old laborer J Upalaiah to commit suicide. He consumed some unknown poison at his residence in Peerzadiguda on Tuesday. He was admitted to the Gandhi Hospital where he died on Thursday.

In another case, 19-year-old student Vilasini daughter of Vinod Reddy to commit suicide. She Hanged herself at her residence on Wednesday night hours. She took the extreme step at her residence in Chikadpally. Suicide reason was not known, According to Chikadpally police.

In Maredpally police limits, 20-year-old Sanjay Kumar committed suicide. By consumed unknown poison at his residence in Gandhinagar of Maredpally on Nov 27. He was having severe stomach pain immediately shifted to nearest hospital where he died on Dec 4 late night hours.

In a separate case, 36-year-old laborer Mohd Khan committed suicide by consumed poison at his residence in Suleman Nagar on Wednesday. Immediately shifted to Osmania hospital where he died on Dec 5. According to Rajendranagar police, Mohd Khan was suffering from ill health for last few months and the same is suspected to have driven him to the extreme step.

Agriculturist arrested for raping B Com student

Hyderabad, Dec 5 : An agriculturist was arrested on Thursday on the charges of raping a student by promising to marry her.

A 20-year B Com student, in her complaint, alleged that the accused, K Venkatesh, 22, of Kondurg, raped her several times on the promise of marrying her. Based on the complaint, a case was registered against Venkatesh and he was arrested on Thursday from Kondurg village of Mahaboobnagar District. Amberpet police said.

While the accused was sent to the Department of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology of Osmania General Hospital for potency and other tests, the victim girl was also sent for medical examinations. Further investigations are on.
