Rly employee among two killed in train accidents

Hyderabad, Nov 28 : A 53-year-old man died on the spot while trying to catch a running train.

The accident occurred at Lalaguda Railway Station on Wednesday evening. The man slipped down and got crushed by the same train. The deceased was later identified as T Maisaiah, an employee of Railways and resident of North Lalaguda, according to Secunderabad Railway Police.

In another case, 30-year-old Chitti died on the spot after she was hit by a train between Shivrampally and Budwel stations on Wednesday evening while trying to cross the tracks. She was a resident of Odamgadda and native of Mahaboobnagar district, Kachiguda Railway Police said.

Man falls into water pit, dies

Hyderabad, Nov 28 : A 48-year-old man died after falling in a water pit in Rajendra Nagar police limits.

According to police, the deceased, Md Akbar, fell into a water pit near Chintalmet, while returning from work to his home at MM Pahadi of Rajendra Nagar on Wednesday. The police handed over the body to the relatives after conducting post-mortem at the Osmania General Hospital mortuary here on Thursday.

Seven killed in separate road accidents

Hyderabad, Nov 28 : In separate cases, seven persons were killed in road accidents at different places in the city and its outskirts.

A student of degree final year, C Vishnu Kumar, 23, suffered grievous injuries when the bike he was riding was hit by a RTC bus near Basheerbagh flyover on Thursday morning. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead. Vishnu was a resident of Sitarambagh of Asifnagar, Saifabad police said.

In another case, 65-year-old Satyamma was killed after she was hit by a motorcycle near Shamshabad. The accident occurred near Siddhanti on Thursday evening. On being taken to a nearby hospital she was declared brought dead. She was a resident of Lakhsmiguda in Shivrampally, according to RGI Airport police.

In a similar case, 48-year-old K Pochaiah died of injuries which he suffered after being hit by a lorry near his resident in Ghatkesar on November 26. He was undergoing treatment at Osmania General Hospital where he died on Wednesday night.

In Habeeb Nagar police limits, 19-year-old Md Feroz Khan of Subhanpura suffered grievous injuries after falling down from the bike which he was riding skidded near Ek-Minar Masjid on Wednesday. He was immediately rushed to the OGH where he succumbed a few hours after the admission.

In a similar accident, Md Abdul Rauf, 55, died of injuries which he suffered on November 26 when the bike he was riding skidded near his residence in Pahadishareef police limits. He was admitted to a private hospital where he died on Wednesday night.

In a different case, three pedestrians were injured after they were hit by a speeding car in Medchal police limits on Wednesday evening. They met with the accident while returning home to Aithvelli from their job. One of the injured, Ramesh Mahaptra, 23, died at the OGH a few hours after admission. Two others – Kailash Das and Sanjay Swami are still undergoing treatment.

In a separate case, 14-year-old V Ramesh died on the spot after he was hit by a DCM van near his residence in Miyapur. The boy met with the accident while trying to cross the road, police said. A case has been registered against the DCM van driver.

Theft charges drive maid servant to suicide

Hyderabad, Nov 28 : A 25-year-old maid servant committed suicide by consuming toilet cleaner at her residence in Harijan Basti of Alwal police limits.

According to the police, the deceased, Ch Durga Bai, used to work as a maid servant in the NRSA Housing Complex. However, on Wednesday three persons accused her of stealing the gold bangles from their home. They also searched her house, but could not find anything. Upset with the allegations against her, she resorted to the extreme step and consumed toilet cleaner. She was immediately rushed to the Gandhi Hospital where she died after a few hours, police said.

Three students commit suicide

Hyderabad, Nov 28 : In a shocking incident, a 13-year-old girl committed suicide by hanging at her residence in Reddy Colony of Chanda Nagar police limits.

The deceased, G Sailaja, was a student of eight class and committed suicide on Wednesday night. She allegedly left a suicide note stating that she was taking the extreme step as she was not interested in studies. Further investigations are on.

In a similar incident, 21-year-old A Sai Teja committed suicide at his residence in Kukatpally on Wednesday night. Teja, who was doing his B Tech third year, was allegedly rebuked by his parents for not concentrating on studies for the last few days. The same is suspected to be the reason behind suicide.

In a different case, 23-year-old B Shweta, a degree second year student, committed suicide by hanging. She resorted to the extreme step on Wednesday night at her residence in Lalaguda. Ill-health is suspected to the reason that drove her to suicide.

Failure in love drives man to suicide

Hyderabad, Nov 28 : A 24-year-old man committed suicide by consuming some unknown poison allegedly due to failure in love.

The deceased, P Ravinder, took the extreme step on Wednesday. He was admitted to the Osmania General Hospital where he died late night. He was an employee of a private firm and resident of Film Nagar, Jubilee Hills, according to Banjara Hills police.

14-year-old boy dies of electrical burns

Hyderabad, Nov 28 : In a bizarre accident, a 14-year-old boy died of electrical burns that he suffered after touching a live electric wire of railways.

According to Nampally Railway Police, the boy, R Siddarth, climbed atop a parked goods trains near Sanathnagar Railway Station while going to his school on November 25. He panicked when the train started moving and caught the live electric wires. He suffered severe electrical burns. He was immediately rushed to the Gandhi Hospital where he died on Wednesday night.

Police constable arrested for raping girl

Hyderabad, Nov 28 : A police constable of RGI Airport Police Station was arrested on Thursday on the charges of raping a girl by promising to marry her.

The 24-year-old victim, in her complaint, alleged that the constable B Raju, 34, working with the RGI Airport PS, raped her repeatedly and impregnated her. However, he convinced her to abort the child. She alleged that the constable promised to marry her and assaulted her sexually.

Based on the complaint, a case was registered against the constable and he has been arrested, RGI Airport Inspector Durga Prasad said.
