Hyderabad, Nov 27: Former Home Minister P Sabitha Indira Reddy called on Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy at the latter’s office in the State Secretariat here on Wednesday.
Talking to reporters later, Sabitha Reddy said she had requested the Chief Minister to increase the daily wages of Home Guards to Rs 300. She said that he had enhanced the daily payment from Rs 100 to Rs 200 when she was the Home Minister. However, she said that the payments needs to be increased for all Home Guards in the State. She also demanded extension of all other benefits including Health Insurance for the Home Guards.
Sabitha said that the Chief Minister has agreed to consider her request. She also denied having discussed any political issues with the Chief Minister.
