New liberal policy for regularization of illegal water connections soon

Hyderabad, Nov 9 : The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board will soon announce a new liberal policy for regularization of illegal connections.

This was announced by HMWSSB Managing Director J Syamala Rao while addressing a revenue meeting of O&M Divisions. XII, XIII, XIV, XV & XVI under jurisdiction of O&M Circle-IV at Board Office in Khairatabad here on Saturday in the presence of P.S.Suryanarayana, Director(Revenue), Chief General Managers (Engg./Revenue, O&M Circle, Dy.General Managers(Engg.) and Managers(Engg.), Meter Readers. He reviewed among other issues the delivery of bills, Meter’s status, verification of disconnected connections, Red Notices, Cash remittance, Category changes made etc.,

The Managing Director instructed the GMs (Engg.) to concentrate on improving revenue collection by issuing timely bills, notices including disconnection, Red Notices and wherever necessary disconnect the water supply connections and impose penalties and invoke RR Act. INN
