Hyderabad, Nov 8 : Chief Secretary Dr P K Mohanty described Yojana journal as very useful for officials and those involved in public services to know the policies and objectives of the Central and State governments. He was speaking at the releasing function of Yojana November 2013 issue here on Friday. He said the journal gives authentic data and figures which will be useful for officials. Mohanty said there will be regular transfers for officials in Government service and sometimes they apparently forget certain policies and schemes of the government and thus the journal will help one to use it as a reference book.
The journal, brought out by Ministry of I & B dedicated to socio-economic developmental issue, will also act for transparency in the government policies. While recalling his student days and as a newly recruit civil servant, Mohanty said the journal is also very useful civil services aspirants and for those preparing for service commission examinations. While congratulating the Yojana editorial on the occasion, he lauded the services of the organisation in bringing out the magazine regularly since 40 years.
Yojana (Telugu), a Monthly journal being published by Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, has completed 40 years of its existence with November 2013 issue. The November 2013 issue is on the theme “Land and Natural Resources”—In this issue, various articles on the theme were written by experts in this issue. Some of the articles published are “ A new beginning on water in the 12th Plan by Mihir Shah, Reforming India’s Land Policy By Maitreesh Ghatak and others, Implementing the National Land Reform Agenda: The Way Forward for Eradicating Poverty-Rajagopal, Women and land-Why is it important?- by Anisa Draboo etc..
The issue was released by the Chief Secretary in his chambers. Journal also gave a preparatory note and strategy to be adopted for General Studies Mains for UPSC 2013.. The journal will be a source of reference to students, academics and research scholars in specific and a source of knowledge for every reader in general.
Regular articles like Multiple Objective type questions of UPSC & APPSC Group 1 level, General Studies Capsule, articles on MNRGES and WALTA Act, were also published. The 52-page issued is priced at Rs 10. The magazine has hit the stands and is available at all important book stalls across the State.
