IAS Committee to probe bus fire mishap

Hyderabad, Nov 1 : Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Friday ordered setting up of committee of senior IAS officers to probe the cause of Palem bus mishap. The committee would also suggest measures to prevent such accidents in future.

The Chief Minister today held a high level meeting and reviewed the Wednesday’s fatal bus accident at Palem village of Mahabubnagar district at camp office this evening. He directed the officials to complete the process of handing over the dead bodies to their relatives within a week. He also ordered CB CID enquiry from the police side on the accident. Minister for Transport Botsa Satyanarayana, Special Chief Secretary Transport Lakshmi Parthasarathy, DGP B Prasada Rao, Transport Commissioner G Anantha Ramu, Mahabubnagar District Collector Girija Shankar and other senior officials attended the meeting.
