GHMC to file criminal case against NGO for supplying unhygienic water

Hyderabad, Nov 1 : GHMC Mayor Mohammed Majid Hussain has informed that a criminal case will be booked against an NGO which supplied unhygienic drinking water to the Government Girls School with lizards and Fungus in it.

The same NGOs is also accused of utilizing the photographs of the Chief Minister, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Chiranjeevi and Anjan Kumar Yadav for its publicity.

The Mayor informed that the issue has been brought to his notice by the parents of the students stating that their children are being utilized to carry the water from the tanker to the water tank of the school on regular basis. Responding to the complaint, the Mayor himself inspected the school premises when the water is being supplied and found that the water is un hygienic and polluted to drink and expressed his shock saying that if something goes wrong with the drinking of polluted water who will be kept responsible.

Majid Hussain further directed the Hyderabad Collector and RDO to take action against the school authorities for allowing such un-hygienic water in campus that to through a un-authorized person. He further directed the GHMC Food Safety officials to seize the water tanker and send the water for testing. He said that the school building was completely in dilapidated condition and with the persuasion of Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi, a five storied building has been constructed now and a college for girls is proposed with the financial support of Defence authorities. However, he said that some anti-social elements were utilizing this platform to showcase their personal agenda. INN
