Visakhapatnam, Oct 20 : Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Sunday compared the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh with the Phailin cyclone that hit the State recently.
However, Kiran Kumar Reddy said that while Phailin could not be stopped, the “bifurcation typhoon” would be prevented. He made these remarks while interacting with coconut/cashew farmers at Devudu Gudi Thota near Kaviti of Srikakulam district during his tour of cyclone-hit areas on Sunday. However, he avoid questions on State’s bifurcation issue saying that it was not proper place and time to speak about it.
The Chief Minister was apparently upset over the protests held at Visakhapatnam Airport on his arrival on Sunday. A few Samaikhyandhra activists tried to block his convoy while raising slogans in favour of united Andhra Pradesh and “CM Go Back”. A few activists were also taken into the custody by the police. INN
