Hyderabad, August 17: MIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi on Saturday warned his own partymen against the bids to extort money from the common people.
While addressing a public meeting at Khilwat Grounds, Akbar Owaisi said that he was in receipt of complaints that some MIM leaders and workers were demanding money from people who are constructing houses or when pipelines or roads are being laid. Issuing a stern warning to such extortion bids, he said that the MIM leaders have made several sacrifices to establish and strengthen the party. Therefore, no one would be allowed to damage its reputation.
“Beat with them with chappals if they try to extort money from you,” Akbar Owaisi told people adding that the MIM would never tolerate such practices. He advised people to contact party president Asaduddin Owaisi if they have any complaints against any MIM leader including him.
