Hyderabad, Aug 10: Defending Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, Tribal Welfare Minister P Balaraju on Saturday said that the concerns raised by him were genuine.
Talking to reporters at the Congress Legislature Party office here, Balaraju said that the Chief Minister’s concern that the issues like water sharing, power, irrigation and employment should be addressed before the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh should not be taken in negative sense. He said that Kiran Kumar Reddy was developing the State with a clear vision since he took over as the Chief Minister. Therefore, he said that the Chief Minister clarified that crucial issues like sharing of resources should be resolved before dividing the State.
Instead of taking a serious view of the points raised by the Chief Minister, Balaraju said that the Telangana leaders were trying to brand him as a rebel of Congress High Command. He said that the Chief Minister never went against the decisions of Congress party and will never do in future.
Government Whip in the Legislative Council Rudraraju Padamaraju was also present.
