Visakhapatnam, Aug 3 : Anakapalli Congress MP Sabbam Hari on Saturday resigned from his post in protest against the Centre’s decision to bifurcate Andhra Pradesh.
Talking to reporters here, Sabbam Hari accused the Congress party of dividing the state for mere political gains. He said that the ruling party was not only damaging the interest of the Telugus, but also its own prospects of survival in the State. He said that the Congress would never come to power in Telangana.
Describing the bifurcation’s decision as painful, Sabbam Hari announced that he would lead a movement for Samaikhyandhra. He also slammed TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao for asking Andhra people to leave Hyderabad.
The Anakapalli MP also slammed union minister K Chiranjeevi for advising the Seemandhra leaders to abide by the decision of Congress High Command. He said that Chiranjeevi could follow the High Command, but he was not authorised to advise others to do so. INN
