Eluru, July 20 : Former minister Kotagiri Vidyadhara Rao died on Saturday due to cardiac arrest.
According to reporters, Vidyadhara Rao sufferred a massive heart attack and collapsed while he was boarding a car to go to Thoorpu Edavalli village to campaign for his daughter Anitha who is contesting for Sarpanch post from East Yedavapalli. His body was later shifted to his native place Kamavarapu Kotal mandal for funeral.
Vidyadhara Rao began his career in 1983 and represented Chintalapudi constituency of West Godavari district five times. He was a minister in the cabinets of both NT Rama Rao and N Chandrababu Naidu. Due to his close association with Chiranjeevi, he moved to Praja Rajyam Party after it was launched. After Chiranjeevi merged PRP with the Congress party, he was made the official spokesperson.
