New Delhi, July 5 : AICC General Secretary and in-charge of State Congress affairs Digvijaya Singh indicated that the Congress Core Committee might discuss the possible solution to Telangana issue during its meeting to be held on Friday evening.
Talking to reporters here, Digvijay Singh said that he had asked Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and PCC president Botsa Satyanaryana to prepare a roadmap to faciliate a decision on the Telangana issue. He said that he would submit a report to the CCC based on the roadmap.
Meanwhile, Digvijay Singh held discussions with several leaders including Vijayawada MP Lagadapati Rajagopal, N Raghuveera Reddy, Anantha Venkata Rami Reddy and Palvai Govardhan Reddy on the Telangana issue.
While Lagadapati Rajagopal requested Digvijay Singh not to divide the State, Palvai claimed that there was no confusion on the Telangana issue and division will happen in accordance with the constitutional process.
Digvijay Singh also had a meeting with Union Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde on the Telangana issue. However, he refused to comment on what was discussed during the meeting. INN
