Minister assures help for rain-hit farmers

Hyderabad, June 14 : Revenue Minister Dr N Raghuveera Reddy on Friday assured to provide necessary relief assistance to the farmers who lost crop and property due to recent unseasonal rains in the State.

Replying to a question raised by TDP MLA Errabelli Dayakar Rao and others during Question Hour, the minister said that Agriculture crops were damaged in an extent of 11.3 Hectares, Horticulture crops were damaged in an extent of 40.15 Ha and 94 sheep, eight goat, one Buffalo Calf and 7,100 Broiler Chicks were lost and seven houses were partly damaged in Kummera village of Chevella mandal of Ranga Reddy district.
