Hyderabad, Dec 5 : Former Minister Gade Venkat Reddy stated that the Centre was likely to convene an all-party meeting on Telangana issue on December 28.
Talking to reporters in the Assembly premises on Wednesday, Venkat Reddy said that the Centre should invite two members from each party for the meeting. He hoped that the opposition parties would ensure fruitful discussions on the issue. However, he reiterated that the leaders would abide by the decision taken by the Congress High Command on the issues.
Giving clarification on his letter to the Centre on Telangana statehood issue, he said that he only sought special financial package for the development of the region, if there was further delay in the decision on the statehood issue. However, he said never asked for economic package in lieu of Telangana State.
