TS Assembly budget session from March 9

Hyderabad, Jan 7 (INN): The budget session of Telangana State Legislative Assembly may begin from the second week of March.

According to sources, the budget session may begin between March 9th and 13th and will last till March 31. Finance Minister Etala Rajender will be presenting his second and Telangana’s first full-fledged budget for the financial year 2015-16. Last year on November 5, he had presented the Telangana State’s first budget for 10 months.

The first full-fledged budget is likely to give more clarity on the new State’s financial position in terms of revenues and expenditures. Although the State Government had presented a budget of over Rs 1 lakh crore, so far, it was unable to release even half the amount apparently due to shortage of funds. However, by the presenting of next budget in March, the government may come out with more clarity on its finances.
