Hyderabad, Jan 7 (INN): Congress senior leader and Nalgonda MLA Komatireddy Venkatreddy on Wednesday alleged that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has been trying to stop water supply to Khammam and Nalgonda districts by stalling AMR Project.
Speaking to media persons in Assembly premises here, Komatireddy alleged that the AP Chief Minister has been creating several obstacles to stop supply of irrigation water to the farmers of Khammam and Nalgonda. He warned that the farmers would stage a massive protest against Naidu’s move, he exhorted Telangana TDP leaders to convince their party president to restrain from doing so. He said that the T-TDP leaders should be ashamed of themselves as they silently watching the injustices being done to the Telangana State by Naidu.
Komatireddy also urged Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to ensure release of water from Nagarjuna Sagar to farmers of Nalgonda and Khammam district for Rabi season.
The Nalgonda MLA also alleged that over 100 deaths have been reported from different parts of the State due to swine flu disease. Accusing the State Government of being negligent, he demanded that all steps should be taken at village level to prevent the spread of swine flu in Telangana.
