Hyderabad, Oct 26 (INN): YSR Congress has demanded the TDP government to shun from its longing for publicity and categorically announce the measures it would be taking to provide succor to the Hudhud affected families resolve the Srisailam issue and settle waiver of loans in one installment.
“Instead of dilly-dallying and diverting the attention of the people like capital city and other such tall talk at the hour of crisis, Chandrababu Naidu should concentrate more on pressing issues beginning with the relief and rehabilitation works in the cyclone ravaged north coastal Andhra,” Party MLA G Sreekanth Reddy told reporters here on Sunday.
Still the Government is found wanting on many counts. In the cyclone hit areas as no proper enumeration has been conducted to assess the loss, power supply was not restored in many areas and compensation was not paid to the affected people.
The Chief Minister has always been resorting to tall talk whenever there has been a crisis and the Srisailam issue has blown out into a political controversy with the lack of foresight by Chandrababu Naidu who has issued a GO decreasing limit of Srisailam waters for hydel power.
When the TRS Government is exploiting the situation, Chandrababu Naidu is silent and is playing diversionary tactics by announcing the extent of land required for a capital city reducing it from one lakh acres to 30,000 acres.
Being the partner of NDA coalition government, TDP should mount pressure on the Prime Minister to solve the Srisailam crisis to save Rayalaseema from going dry, he said.
The loan waiver should also be given in one go and should not be staggered to benefit the farmers, he said.
