Hyderabad, Oct 26 (INN): Panchayat Raj Minister K Tarakarama Rao on Sunday slammed Telangana BJP President G Kishan Reddy for criticising the TRS Government on power issue.
Speaking to media persons here, KTR said that it was strange that despite being the State unit president of a party which is ruling at the Centre Kishan Reddy did not make any efforts to protect the interests of Telangana. Condemning his criticism against the government, he said Kishan Reddy and TDP leaders from Telangana remained silent on the letter written by AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to the Centre asking it to stop power generation in Telangana.
KTR said that the BJP and TDP leaders should be ashamed of their actions as they are working against the interest of Telangana despite getting elected on the votes given by Telangana people. He accused them of being a mute spectator to the obstacles being created by the TDP Government of Andhra Pradesh in the development of Telangana.
The minister also dismissed the apprehensions of opposition parties over the issue of new ration cards. He said all deserving beneficiaries in the State would be issued the Food Security Cards. He said that the TRS Government was firm on building a golden Telangana and it would achieve its goal irrespective of the hurdles being created by anti-Telangana forces.
